POPPY
The Pygmy HippoHi, Poppy!
Hippo hooray! Introducing Poppy, the zoo’s most adorable addition to our animal family.
She was born on December 9, 2024, to parents Iris and Corwin, and she can now be seen daily at the zoo with mom. Pygmy hippos are endangered, so this birth is important!
Poppy is America’s pygmy hippo princess. She’s raising awareness for her species by stealing hearts on the internet across the world.
